While in Ponce, we visited "La Cruceta," a large cross atop a high hill on the edge of town.
This is Dee Dee's cousin, Margie.
And this is Dee Dee's aunt, Margie's mother, Ulfia.
 Here's Dana's sweetie.
This site was originally used by sentinels to watch for ships. You can see why.
This is the house that Boli's family lived in when they first moved to Ponce from their farm in the mountains back in the 1930's.
Here's Henry with his second cousin Luis "Tito" Velez.
A nice "coco frio," or cold coconut, really hits the spot on a hot, tropical day.
Henry's Great Uncle Waldemar came with his wife Elva to visit us at our beach house. He peeled a coconut by hand, which impressed us all.
Here's a nice, soft-focus closeup of Henry asking for the camera again :-)
We enjoyed the "agua de coco" from the coconut Uncle Wally opened.
These are Dana's two favorite people in the whole world.
Daddy gave Mommy a bracelet. Henry loved it.
 It's Henry, laughing!
Uncle Waldemar looks a lot like his brother Boli.
 Here are all the guys.
 Everybody say "Coqui!"
Henry likes his great Uncle Wally a lot.
And now for some beach shots.
 Becky loved the water.
Henry got to play with coconuts, since we had one right on our patio.
 "Wawoo!" (Water.)
We're probably saying something like "Wow, you can see right through that wave!"
 Hello.
"Hi Mom! I found a little coconut."
 It's fun to play with.
 And it's hard!
The pelicans were fun to watch.
Sometimes flying, sometimes just riding the swells.
Henry got to have lots of play time with Uncle Ed.
 Yay!
 Yahoo!
There was a sunset to see.
Nice beams of light coming down.
Henry got to eat a tiny banana, just his size, and play a maraca at the same time.
There was plenty of time to rest and relax.
One day, Dee Dee walked around with the camera.
 And photographed everybody...
 ... sleeping!
A view of a pelican off our balcony.
The morning sun brought an outline of our house to the sand.
Ed found a nice floating chair...
... and went quite a ways out.
It was nice to be rocked by the waves.
 Henry enjoyed the patio.
Something new happened all the time.
And he gave us many smiles.
Henry did get down and play in the sand.
 Throwing sand was fun.
At first he was afraid of the waves.
But by the last day he was getting used to them.
Sand-throwing was a favorite pasttime in the sand.
 That happy boy.
 A wave!
 Whee!
We went out to "Playa Oeste," West Beach.
There's a nice park with many flowers and lookout points.
 Hello!
The park surrounds an old lighthouse.
 It was so nice.
Another tiny banana, which is called a "niņo" in Spanish, for our niņo.
Ok, little bananas are yummy, but that camera looks good too.
Ahh, having a relaxed time on the island.
Ok, time for one last set of pictures before we leave.
Good friends are great to have.
Neither Henry nor Dana got sunburned during the trip. Henry got sun glasses, though, and loved them.
 Hola!
 The family in paradise.
 Ahoy!
Henry got to sit on Ed's lap a lot during the flights. Overall it was a very nice trip to Puerto Rico.
